Royal Australian Mint medal sold in the Mint shop as a souvenir. The obverse depicts the Janvier reducing machine working on the 20 cent platypus design surrounded by Australia’s circulating coins -the 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c and $1. The obverse shown is the Raphael Maklouf portrait of Queen Elizabeth II used from 1985. The design includes the dollar coin introduced in 1984 and the 1c and 2c which were discontinued in 1988 -this dates the design to 1985-1988. The reverse depicts the Royal Australian Mint building in Deakin, ACT.
