Large straight clipped planchet or end of bar. Unusual because there’s little apparent metal flow but this might be because the missing part of the planchet was attached when the coin was struck and then separated later.

The legends show evidence of more than one strike here with partial engagement of the collar die. The indent site shows a distorted enlarged partial obverse design (brockage). An exceptional error.
