The Bank of Adelaide Centenary 1865-1965 Commemorative Paperweight with Signed Certificate

Signed Certificate

The certificate states “In commemoration of the Centenary of THE BANK OF ADELAIDE 1865-1965” and is hand signed by the General Manager (of 1965) Mr W P Wright. These paperweights were given to important bank customers and K Wharton Esq was one such VIP. Mr Ken Wharton was General Manager of the Gepps Cross Meatworks (abattoirs, butcher and saleyard complex), Adelaide, South Australia from 1952-1973 and was presumably a highly valued client of the bank.
