32mm round tin badge with spring pin on the reverse. This white badge has a thin red border and bears the portrait of General William Birdwood, the commander of the ANZAC forces at Gallipoli in 1915. The the left and right of the portrait in black are the words SOUTH AUSTRALIA. Above the portrait is a rising sun in yellow and red with the words ADVANCE AUSTRALIA. Below the portrait are crossed Australian and English flags. Below the flags in black text are the words HELP THOSE WHO HELPED YOU and below that in blue ANZAC DAY APRIL 25th 1915. On the edge of the badge in black lettering are the words A.W. PATRICK MAKER 440 RAE ST NTH FITZROY.
