Great Britain World War 2 Identity Disc C JX 130353 Leading Seaman A Knight

World War 2 ID disc made from a 1934 Australian florin. Unusual because it is made out to a British sailor, Leading Seaman A. Knight, service number C JX 130353. First British ID disc we’ve seen made from an Australian coin. Obvese has been skimmed off, probably with a lathe, and letters stamped neatly into the skimmed surface. Holed at top for suspension.

Lettering reads:

L SEA A KNIGHT
BAPT
C JX I30353

Note I stamped instead of a 1.
