2005 Dancing Man $1 Partial Collar Error
Peace dollar from 2005 comemmorting the end of WWII, known as the dancing man $1. This coin only partially engaged with the collar die but does have that engagement around the entire edge of the coin. It’s not straight so I would hesitate to call this a straight partial collar preferring to refer to it as a tilted partial collar. Sadly the reverse shows marks of it being touched by the coin rolling machine indicating it was found in a roll or rejected at the security company before entering circulation. Note also the wart cud on Her Majesty’s chin.
