One of the more interesting error coins, a planchet that is in the process or splitting in half but remains attached still around one third of the coin. It’s partially apart resembling a clamshell hence the name.
Choice Unc wavy 20c, a keenly sought variety of the 1966 London minted 20 cent.
A coin that was already struck was too slow when exiting the press and caught the edge of this coin as it was being struck leaving a brockage impression in the indent site.

Obverse rotation to 145 degrees or 5:00 on the clockface. Graded by PCGS as MS64 or Gem Uncirculated.
