Australia 1959 Florin – Sintered Planchet or Planchet Impurity Error
Interesting 1959 florin with three obvious bright orange copper spots on the obverse. Could be improperly mixed alloy or impurity. Could also be copper waste picked up by the planchet while being annealed / tumbled resulting in the copper being sintered to the surface of the coin. Not often seen on Australian coins whatever the actual explanation for the coin is!
