Counterstamped “Love Token” John Atkinson and Ann Gibson

Thin bronze disk holed at top. One side engraved with “JOHN ATKINSON” and counterstamped with the letters “PP”. Other side engraved with “ANN GIBSON” and stamped with “SPP”. Disk is 26mm in diameter and weighs 5.4g and probably made from a skimmed down half penny. Style of engraving suggests date of origin from sometime in the 18th or early 19th century.
