Obverse only Australian 1 cent piece. Very rare to see a copper coin split in two, this example split after the coin was struck. It’s reverse mate is out there somewhere!

This error coin has been struck on a 10 cent planchet made from copper nickel instead of an aluminium bronze planchet. It’s underweight for a dollar at 5.6g, the exact weight of a 10 cent piece and graded by PCGS as such.
