This error coin hardly looks like a 7 sided heptagon as a British 20p should. That’s because the only part of the coin that engaged with the collar was the bottom of the reverse. It could be argued then this coin is a tilted partial collar and if the lip was slightly higher you’d call it a ramstrike.
Multiple strike 1946 shilling error coin.
A lustrous red penny with a little vertical carbon streaking.
This coin the subject of the 2012 article in CAB magazine “Charles and Diana -A flawed pair”. Struck without collar.
5mm off-centre and just a hint of collar. Nice fishtailing of the bottom legends.
Ramstrike or high lip coin error.
Shilling error struck through a die cap.
Out of Collar, no collar, broadstrike or pancake penny! In any case this coin as struck without the collar die.
1952 ramstruck or high lip coin error.
